As part of big 92.7 FM’s Cool Maal Dhamaal activity,RJ Archana Jani of The Big Chai show was accompanied by Aditya Udit Narayan on a visit to The Vatsalya Foundation in Mumbai to interact with street children.
The radio station is also running an on-ground activity as branded Big 92.7 FM refrigerated vans roam tour cities with the RJs distributing cool like coconut water and lemonade. Started on 14 May on The Big Chai show, Cool Maal Dhamaal, has evoked a huge response from listeners which includes prizes or maal like destination holiday packages, air-conditioners, refrigerators, coolers , sunshades, cool wear ,passes to popular water parks across the city, and more.
“It’s been wonderful to interact with these sweet street children-and their response to our Cool Maal Dhamaal event here has been as enthusiastic as that of listeners, who are winning big prizes on The Big Chai every morning,” said Archana Jani.
Speaking on the occasion, Aaditya Udit Narayan said, “I am grateful to BIG 92.7 FM and The Vatsalya Foundation for giving me an opportunity to connect with these kids for BIG FM’s cool Maal Dhamaal. It has been a wonderful experience – the biggest reward was seeing the joy on their faces. Both Archana and I really enjoyed ourseives - I just hope the kids too had as good a time as we did!”

The staff of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai and children of Vatsalya came together on 14 February, 2007 to celebrate the communal birthday of all the boys. Four Seasons organized the desserts for this fun-filled event. To top it all off, the executive chef of the Hotel surprised the kids with a very big chocolate fudge cake!

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai organized another event in April. This time, magicians and clowns were able to entertain the children and to provide for an enjoyable afternoon of fun and giggles. That was not all.. Ice cream and pop corn were distributed all afternoon long for the kids to indulge!

The Christmas Card Drawing Ceremony

For the past 2 years, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai has been in collaboration with Vatsalya in order to nurture the creativity of the boys. The annual drawing competition, consists of each participant submitting a drawing to the Hotel and the winning drawing forms the backdrop of the Season’s Greeting card of the Hotel. Mr. Kraenzlin, Regional Vice President and General Manager, along with a team of Four Seasons’ employees came over to personally present award certificates to all participants, and to show their appreciation for Vatsalya’s never ending enthusiasm.

Staff Christmas Party

The team at Four Seasons Mumbai invited Vatsalya Foundation children to their Christmas party, which began with a little tour of the property. The kids were thrilled to see the different areas of the hotel and showed an inclination to be a part of the Four Seasons team. The boys then made their way to the Sales & Marketing Conference room to watch Ratatouille and devour some smiley faced cup cakes. Two surprise dance performances were given by the boys for the Four Seasons team. The Older boys performed on a Latin American medley and the younger boys danced on a Bollywood number. Santa came with his knapsack and distributed little gift items and yummy cookies & chocolates for their outstanding performance.
Vatsalya’s Swati Mukherjee was the judge for the Best Hat competition. She was proud to announce the winner - Kamal Panwar from F&B service for his innovative ‘Looking for water in Mars’ hat.
The evening ended on a joyful note, and the team from Four Seasons is looking forward to their next celebration with the children at Vatsalya.

Building Home for Homeless

With the spiritual and physical support of 10000 youth volunteers who would be provided training them in building leadership apart from house construction, thus inculcating a spirit of community service in them was the objective of the project IndiaBuilds undertaken by organisation Habitat for Humanity. They have undertaken the task of building fifty thousand homes for poor and homeless in different parts of the country. At Mahad Habitat has collaborated with Jankalyan Trust to build houses for flood-affected people.
A team of 14 children of TVF and 11 students of Antwerp International School, Belgium participated as volunteers in the programme of constructing home for homeless people in Mahad during Nov. 2nd – 6th. The team put in great efforts and completed their task well in time. It was also an opportunity to work and interact with the AIS students.
6 staff and 24 children of TVF again built a house under the same programme during Nov. 14th to 18th. This time the children were even more enthusiastic and built the house much before the target time.

Rakshbandhan

Rakshbandhan at The Vatsalya Foundation for underprivileged kids on 28 August in Mumbai.
Nick, along with MTV icon Cyrus Broacha and channel mascot Spongebob Squarepants, decided to surprise the kids at the foundation. Apart from exchanging of rakhi's,Cyrus and Spongebob got together for a special performance for the kids. Nick has always believed in inculcating values in children.
Rakshabandhan celebrates and nurtures the bond between brothers and sisters inculcating values like brotherhood and love between siblings," says Nick India VP and GM Nina Elavia Jaipuria.
"We at Nick decided to celebrate this occasion with the kids at Vatsalya and make this Rakshabandhan exciting and memorable for them hoping to make a difference to their lives for this special occasion," she adds.
