Dated On :23/10/2006 The Lokhandwala Foundation, Rotary Club of Penninsula and Shreeji Marbles took up the project of Open Air Facility at the Vatsalya Foundation. The seating area in front of the stage 'Indrahanush' now provides a clean and beautiful ambience for the children. Chldren now not only study but sit for art & craft work. Dated On :23/10/2006 The Lajawab Eclectic cuisine has been initiated in the year 2003 at the residential home. This is a catering service some of the older children provide for outsiders, who come and celebrate their birthdays or anniversaries with children. The services provided by the Lajawab - eclectic cuisine have been appreciated very much and the children plan to expand this activity. Dated On :23/10/2006 Manmohi enchanting one, the gardening project is centre of attraction for all the visitors and volunteers at the residential home. Children take great interest in maintaining their garden and caring for the plants. Dated On :23/10/2006 The skill-training programme of The Vatsalya Foundation is called Balkruti- child's creation. Children leans skills like making purse, cotton bags, candles, Rakhis, book marks, greeting cards, files, diya painting, wool work etc. These items bring out the creativity in the children. These items are displayed in exhibitions and also kept for the sale. Children show a great amount of pride in displaying their art in front of the public. All the art displayed by the children are authentic and done professionally. Separate skill training programmes were organised for the girls in one of the centers. The girls were given skills in applying mehandi, spray-painting, making wrapping papers, beadwork and embroidery. Dated On :23/10/2006 Seven children of TVF have completed their DTP computer training recently which was supported by Larson & Tourbo. Partners Sunil Mane has passed his 12th exam in first division and made all at TVF proud. And so did Anil Mane and Santosh Bachchav by passing 10th std. Sunil, Anil and Santosh have enrolled for further studies. Dated On :23/10/2006 Rakshabandhan will be celebrated on Aug 19th in all the children of residential home and day care centers.Preparation of celebration of Literacy Day on September 8th and Ganapati Festival are also underway.
