Foundation’s Strategic move…
A Rural Extension Project, Shahapur.
To stop the runaway of children and youth The
Vatsalya Foundation started its Extension
Project in
Shahapur & Murbad Talukas, of Thane District. The organization
gave
the Tribal Community a chance to empower themselves. The Vatsalya
Foundation conducted a Survey and identified the problems that the
Tribal Community faces and has done several projects to bring about a
change.
The
Vatsalya
foundation’s rural reach out :

The Vatsalya Foundation caters to the following

Shahapur.
Teacher Training Program: A
teachers
training programme was organized for 18 individuals from
Shahapur. The topics focused on were Early Child Hood, Childs
developmental stages, children educational study.

Community
Development Center,
Manichapada: The community centre which was inaugurated
on
27th November, 2009 was built with a vision to empower the women and
the community at large with the
generous donation from CHANCE AUF LEBEN e.V,
Germany.
Community meetings, social Development
programmes and self-help group meetings will be held here
Bore well: The
Vatsalya Foundation
installed bore wells in the tribal area of Shahapur Taluka, with the
collaboration of Rotary International Foundation. Earlier the tribals
faced a lot of hardships due to water shortage; however, after the
instillation of the bore wells it has eased a lot of these problems.

Income Generation Program for the
Self Help
Groups (SHGs): These are groups which contribute a part
of
their savings to the group. This money helps them to start small
cottage industries and generate income for themselves.

Built by The Vatsalya Foundation, the community centre which was
inaugurated on 27th November, 2009 was
