Programs / Urban
Urban programs that combine contact, care, and continuity.
Across Mumbai, the foundation reaches children through outreach, shelter, day care, contact centres, reintegration support, and creative livelihood initiatives that respond to life on the streets and in vulnerable communities.
Outreach
Street children are reached in parks, station areas, grounds, markets, pavements, and surrounding communities and invited into educational and recreational engagement.
Open Shelter Home
A safe haven for children who need protection away from the streets and dysfunctional family environments, with a focus on development and mainstream inclusion.
Day Care and Contact Centres
Children who cannot access a conducive home environment are supported through contact centres, admissions help, and referral links to training and development opportunities.
Preventive and reintegration work
The urban model includes family reunification, girls’ protection, work with children of pavement families, and referrals for street youth facing substance dependence.
Bal Kruti
Livelihood and creativity training covers bag making, candles, cards, wool work, mehndi, beadwork, embroidery, pottery, fabric painting, and institutional vocational linkages.
Infra Enhance
Continuous support for equipment, hygiene products, furniture, and centre maintenance keeps daily child-care spaces dignified and functional.
